Prior Companies and Projects
Center for Revolutionary Solar Photoconversion
CRSP was a research center of the Colorado Energy Research Collaboratory (a joint research institute among NREL, University of Colorado, Colorado State University, Colorado School of Mines, other research organizations and industry), which conducted basic and applied research. The research was focused on highly efficient and low-cost production of fuels and electricity via direct solar-conversion processes. Today, the research centers like CRSP at the Collaboratory have been folded into the research organization’s larger mission to conduct energy research.
Sol Voltaics AB
Sol Voltaics provides next-generation solar nanotechnology solutions that can significantly enhance the efficiency and power output of solar panels at prices competitive to crystalline silicon. The company's IP is based on 15 years of GaAs nanowire research done in cooperation with Lund University and based on wave concentrated photovoltaics.
Park Pod was formed in 2010 by principals based in the US and Europe to develop, manufacture and service electric vehicle charging equipment (EVSE). The company's primary focus was the installation of EVSE in partnership with retail, hospitality and workplace hosts in order to tie the use of electricity with customer affinity programs.
