Michael D. Ware

Michael Ware is the co-founder of Advance Capital Markets, Inc., a private investment firm with a long and successful track record in the energy and power industries. Michael has arranged financings for wind, solar, hydro, biofuels, biomass, and geothermal projects. He has guided several companies from startup through venture financing and later growth stages, including the IPO process. Previously, he served as Managing Director for Good Energies (GEI), where he managed many of GEI’s venture capital and project investments in North America; CEO of Reliance Energy Services, a subsidiary of a $3 billion investment company; and CEO of Energy Decisions Inc., an energy consulting firm that served both US and international clients.

Michael holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Detroit and an MA in National Security Policy from Ohio State University. He has served as a board member for the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and NREL’s Investor Advisory Board. Michael is an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, where he teaches courses on energy and clean technology and is a member of the GWU Environment and Energy Advisory Board.
